At this plan, you can stay at "Minsyuku Sakaguchi". This private inn, which was built over 100 years ago, was renovated and newly opened in 2023 at Shinanodaira, Iiyama. Here, you can feel a comfortable yet typical atmosphere of Japanese old house. You can also enjoy a private stay since it accepts just 1 group at a time.
As for dinner, you can enjoy a special Noroshinabe hot pot inside Kamakura (snow-hut). It only takes 5min walk from the inn to the venue. Please appreciate a special, one-of-a-kind experience at this winter wonderland.
Moreover, a private Kamakura (snow-hut) is planned to be built at the venue of Sakaguchi (*). This Kamakura is exclusive to the ones who stay at this inn. Therefore, you can enjoy a Kamakura experience which is completely private!
*Please be noted that, due to the weather conditions, the Kamakura might not be able to built or be made with the smaller size than we expect.
***Option: Snowshoe Guide Tour***
In the morning of Day 2 of this plan, the owner of "Sakaguchi" can take you to stroll around the snow field. By wearing a special gear for walking on the snow called "snoeshoe", it would be very fun to tour the neighborhood of Sakaguchi which is the old farming village. Why don't you see and feel the traditional winter scenery of Iiyama with your own foot?
**You can also get Thai Traditional Massage at the inn. Feel free to ask to the owner after you check-in. Please note that you can pay the fee of this service only by cash (JPY) at the inn.

There is no heating equipment inside a snow hut. Please be sure to dress up in a warm clothes.
For those who wish to play with snow, we recommend you to bring some waterproof-clothes like ski wear.
